Saturday

A burglary between 9 a.m. and 6:29 p.m. in the 700 block of Jones Street resulted in the loss of $714 in cash and $2,585 of other goods, according to police reports.

About $450 in damage was done to a home in the 2500 block of Forrestwood Drive between 11 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. during a burglary, in which $1,410 of goods was taken, according to reports.

A man reported being beaten up by five or six men using guns and bricks in the 500 block of South Patterson Street at 5:30 p.m., according to reports. About $300 was taken from him, say reports.



Thursday

A traffic stop in the 2300 block of North Ashley Street at 8:32 p.m. resulted in the arrest of Steven M. Grant, 18, of Valdosta, on a charge of marijuana possession, according to reports.

Police arrested Johan Chua Sluss, 23, of Valdosta, in the 1700 block of Northside Drive at 1:17 p.m. on a charge of simple battery after he reportedly hit his girlfriend, say reports.

At 2:10 a.m., police arrested Lauren T. Lastinger, 18, of Valdosta, in the 1700 block of Norman Drive on charges of alcohol possession / consumption by a minor and driving under the influence of alcohol, according to reports.



Wednesday

A garage door was pried open during a burglary between 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Macon Place, say reports. $4,550 of firearms, including three shotguns, a Garand rifle and ammunition, were taken, according to reports.
