Sunday
• At just past midnight, police stopped Lacresha Jackson, 24, of Valdosta in the 400 block of East Martin Luther King Jr. Drive for having an inoperative headlight on her car, according to reports. Jackson was arrested on charges of giving a false name, first degree forgery, possession of marijuana, defective equipment, driving with a suspended drivers license and other offenses, reports said.
• At 2:12 a.m., police responded to a disturbance at an apartment in the 1500 block of Lankford Drive, according to reports. There, a man told police that Jaquais Johnson, 22, of Valdosta, pointed a gun at him and demanded money, say reports. Johnson was reportedly arrested, but the specific charges was not listed in reports.
• At 3 a.m., police responded to South Georgia Medical Center to a report of a battery, say reports. There, two men told police that between 30 to 40 people attacked them in the 600 block of East Jane Street, say reports. Both had visible injuries, including cuts and scrapes, police said.
Saturday
• At 2:13 p.m., police responded to a store on St. Augustine Road where they arrested Sereno Hernandez, 22, of Homestead, Fla., on a charge of shoplifting, reports said.
