Crime report for Monday, April 28, 2008



Valdota Police Department

Saturday

• At approximately 1 a.m., police stopped Kewame Antwan Smith, 28, of Valdosta, in the 700 block of North Troup Street, according to reports. Smith fled on foot but was located and arrested on charges of DUI, interference with an officer and seatbelt/child restraint violation, and other charges, reports said.

• At 8:07 a.m., police stopped Valerie Strauch, 20, of Valdosta, in the 300 block of Baytree Road for failing to maintain a lane and fleeing the scene of an accident, according to reports. She was arrested on charges of DUI and other traffic offenses, reports said.

• At 5:02 p.m., police arrested William Parramore, 42, of Valdosta, on a charge of criminal damage to private property after an alleged victim told police that Parramore keyed the paint on her 2003 Toyota Matrix automobile and caused three dents in the car, reports said.

• At 11:57 p.m., a woman reported to police that a child had been sexually assaulted in the 200 block of Herbert Street, reports said.

Friday

• At 7:38 p.m., police responded to a store on North St. Augustine Road and arrested Shadonna Asonte Adams, 17, of Valdosta, on a charge of shoplifting, reports said.

Thursday

• At 3:23 p.m., police arrested Ellis Demtrius Sharper, 27, of Valdosta, on a charge of battery after a woman told police that Sharper punched her in the mouth, reports said.
