VALDOSTA — Business Roundup

Alliance Coach, the new RV sales business in Lake Park, officially opened this week and is holding a grand-opening event through today. It’s located just off Exit 5 and you can’t miss it.

Hip Hop Fish & Chicken is going to open a second location at the old Taco Bell on North Ashley. They’ve done very well in their current location on the southside by the overpass. I’ll keep you updated when I have an opening date for them.

Coyoacan is not open yet. Lots of folks waiting for it apparently. I understand they are hoping to open by the end of October, maybe sooner, but I will keep you posted.

There is a new Colombian/South American-themed restaurant on Northside Drive called Empanada’s and More. They make two blue-plate specials a day for lunch with a varied breakfast menu daily. If you like Latin cuisine, you need to try them out.

Another new restaurant opened on Bemiss Road called the Bacon Bunker. And yes, everything is made of or with bacon and they’re open for breakfast and lunch. You can read about them in today’s Focus On in this section.

I’m sad to report that Southern Landing restaurant on North Valdosta Road closed this week. It was located where Charlie Trippers was, and it was a nice, quiet spot for dinner or Sunday brunch. Sorry to see them go.

That’s about it for this week, but if there’s something I missed, please let me know!
