VALDOSTA —

Business Roundup

The new Ashley Furniture Home Store opened this week. It’s located on N. Valdosta Road in the same area as several other furniture stores, in a building that once housed a local church.

The Boot Barn on N. Oak St. Extension is holding its grand re-opening next week, the 7th to the 9th according to their sign.

The new thrift store in Five Points next to Carter and Sons should be opening sometime soon in July. It will benefit the Langdale Hospice House when it’s up and running.

Mark your calendars for July 11 if you’d like to be one of the first to shop at the national trendy clothing retailer, Buckle, which is opening that day in the Valdosta Mall.

Good news this week for those asking about The Mill @ Remerton Square. Planning took a little longer than expected, but they are on track for an August opening. It’s going in next to Anthony & Co. in the Remerton Mill Plaza off Baytree Road and will feature a pizza buffet and other food items along with games for children and adults.

The Rugrat Play Zone is open for business now, with combat style games and glow in the dark fun. It’s located right off of St. Augustine Road near the Lankford Drive intersection.

A little sad news this week — it looks like the city’s second Quizno’s is now gone as well. The one in the plaza by the movie theatres closed recently, and the location on N. Ashley St. is closed now as well.

That’s all for this week, but if there’s something I missed, please let me know!
