Brittany's Budget Diary

From bankrupt to jackpot!

(Continued)

VALDOSTA — Lipgloss: If you’re like me, you need all the lip help a girl can get. I’m chapped, cracked and just totally flushed! When I was living off my student-loan money, when I still held the delusion that it was “free” money, I would drop $24 on Nars Turkish Delight in a heartbeat. Now, I know that I can spend $3.50 on Bonnie Belle’s Liplites in Strawberry Parfait.

Cleanser: Lancome Bi-Facial cleanser is renowned for its eye makeup removing qualities. Yeah, someone is actually charging $26 a bottle to take off makeup ... I know, it makes so much sense. If all you’re doing is messing up your eye makeup, why not just spend $8 on Clean and Clear’s eye makeup removal? I do!

Here are some other steals the pin included:

— Elf eyeliner (which can be found at Target) for just $1 compares to Smashbox liquid liner pen for $20.

— Loreal Voluminous Mascara for $8 compares to Diorshow at $25.50.

— Milani “Mandarina” lipstick for $5 compares to Guerlain “Kiss Kiss” for $24.50.

— Sally Hansen Xtreme nail polish for just $2.59 compares to Chanel at $25.

— Revlon Colorstay Foundation for just $9.99 to MAC longer foundation for $29.50.

— Loreal Hip Cream eyeliner for $11 compares to Bobbi Brown Long-Lasting gel eyeliner for $18.

If this hasn’t convinced you to get on Pinterest, I don’t know what will! There is absolutely nothing wrong with expensive name-brand makeup. If I had the money, trust me, I would certainly pay the price to feel like a Kardashian. However, I don’t and thus, I gladly welcome the bankrupt version.
