And while we’re in outlying areas, there is a new industry in Lakeland called Affinity Homes. The modular home builders started production in May and are edging towards having their first home completed for a grand opening soon. It’s located where the former Warsaw modular home builders was, near the Threatte Center.

Still waiting on official word on Buffalo Wild Wings, but it’s pretty sure that they are coming in by the mall on an outparcel, most likely right across from Atlanta Bread.

Tough times for about 100 employees this week who were laid off by Hood Packaging when the plant closed suddenly last Friday.

No word yet on whether the Chick Fil A is a for sure or still just proposed near the intersection of North Valdosta Road and Inner Perimeter, but the rain is delaying work on all sorts of projects around town right now.
