-- — Wildfire season has begun in Florida. Thousands of acres are burning, particularly in Central and North Florida. Smoke is creating reduced visibility in the Jacksonville area as well as along Interstate 75 in Florida and Georgia.

The fire is being referred to as the County Line Fire, and is raging near Jacksonville.

The National Weather Service is reporting visibility has dropped below a mile in the Jacksonville area.  Visibility may drop even lower as the day progresses.  Experts are warning people to stay inside, especially if they have health or respiratory problems.
