VALDOSTA — With several players garnering attention from the National Football League, including offensive lineman Edmund Kugbila and Ryan Schraeder, the Valdosta State football team will hold its pro day March 18 at 8 a.m. at the practice field, located off Mary Street.
Seniors from the 2012 Division II national championship team will have the opportunity to workout for NFL teams in attendance.
For Kugbila, it will be his second chance to workout for teams, as he will participate in the NFL Combine in Indianapolis in February.
Blazers hard on the recruiting trail
With National Signing Day closing in, Valdosta State football coaches have been hard on the recruiting trail, looking for players.
Coaches were seen at Tuesday's Battle of the Border all-star practice at Lowndes High School, getting a glimpse of South Georgia all-stars preparing to compete in Friday's game against North Florida.
National Signing Day is Feb. 6.
