— For the second straight week, a series loss to a top 25 opponent has sent Valdosta State down the Collegiate Baseball poll.

The Blazers, who climbed as high as No. 4 two weeks ago, fell to No. 9 last week after losing twice to West Florida. This past weekend, Delta State took two of three from the Blazers, and VSU is now ranked No. 11.

West Florida, which leads the Gulf South Conference with a perfect league mark, remains No. 2 in the poll and the Statesman have climbed up three spots to No. 22 after the series win at Billy Grant Field.

Also ranked from the GSC is Alabama-Huntsville at No. 25 and West Alabama, which breaks in at No. 27.
